One of our latest projects, Commercial Solar Atlantic Reach, involved a comprehensive solar power installation at a holiday park located in Newquay. This project comprised two significant installations: a ground mount system and a roof solar system. The goal was to reduce energy costs and carbon footprint while ensuring a swift return on investment.

Ground Mount Solar Installation

System Size: 40.18 kW

Components:

  • Solar Panels: 98 x JA Solar Mono Black Frame 410W
  • Inverter: Solis 36kW 3 Phase Quad
  • Meter: Three Phase Generation Meter
  • Inverter Warranty: Extended by 5 years for a total of 10 years

Financials:

Payback Period: 4 years

Annual CO2 Savings: 8.38 tonnes

 

Roof Solar Installation

System Size: 161.13 kW

Components:

  • Solar Panels: 393 x JA Solar Mono Black Frame 410W
  • Inverter: Solis 40kW 3 Phase
  • Mounting System: Schletter/Reusol Mounting System
  • Meter: Three Phase Generation Meter
  • Inverter Warranty: Extended by 5 years for a total of 10 years

Financials:

Payback Period: 2.1 years

Annual CO2 Savings: 28.03 tonnes

Impact and Benefits

The solar installations at the holiday park contribute to significant CO2 savings of 36.41 tonnes annually, reducing its environmental footprint and enhancing its eco-friendly image. With a payback period of 4 years for the ground mount system and 2.1 years for the roof system, the park will enjoy substantial long-term energy cost savings, freeing up resources for other investments and improvements.
